Irish inspiration...

Speaking of leprechauns in my last post inspired me, and I went looking for some movies with this kind of caracters, and so I stumbled upon this movie:

which enchanted me pure and simply through its lanscapes! The beautiful green of Irish grass! Have I mentioned that Ireland would be the only country I would move to, if I was ever to leave my darling Romania?
The story is such a preety one...an American from New York comes to Ireland on holyday, in fact he comes here to check-up  the cottages, and see if a holyday resort would have any success there, ment for stressed Americans...
Of course he finds out that the cottage he lives in has its own two leprechauns, Seamus and his wife Mary, as well as their no good son- Mickey. I say no good son, but in reality, as leprechauns are mischievious, naughty and always up to no good, and it looks like that is a good thing for leprechauns to do...
It also looks like from this story that leprechauns are in an eternal quarell with fairies, and they even start a war when Mickey "kidnapps " the fairie princess, Jessica, the daughter of the fairie king. In fact, the two fall deeply in love (ahhhhhhh!) and run away together, but they are forced to come back when they realize that they are the cause of the war.
The symbols in this movie are very interesting; Mother Nature is a tree that, once the war starts and the fairies don't look after the plants, starts to wither, suffers because of the hatred and slowly starts to die. Once the feud begins, fairies and leprechauns start dying when they fight, and vanish, and the Grand Banshee, that is the supreme authority on earth among them, takes them. This Grand Banshee is an owl-woman, and is played by none other then the wonderful Woopi Goldberg!
I was also soooo pleasantly surprised to recognize the river dance I so love from  the Lord of the Dance! Whenever the leprechauns had a party...they would dance that dance which I so love! There are these girls with red hair and green dresses that move their feet as if they are flying feries!

Absolutely fabulous!
But back to our story, in the meantime our american, Jack, falls inlove with a beautiful local girl, Caitlin, and after a few bumpy adventures, she starts loving him back. they both help Mickey and Jessica end the war of the leprechauns vs fairies, and help restore Mother nature to hel blissful status of...green!

If you're in the mood for romantic, wonderfully childish, extremly amusing and wonderful green landscapes, this is a movie for a quiet afternoon with children...or just yourself! I for one, loved it, while I was yesterday alone with my cats...who were doing something like this:

...tearing the box and filling my room with small-small pieces of paper...Jackieeeeeee!!!

Leprechaun shoes....

I'm inlove with my new shoes.....

we're in the exams period...

...or at least M is, so I have to make reports, help him choose what to learn, check him daily if he's learning (!!) and not riding his bike or drinking coffee with friends...all in all, I am very busy when at home, and when at work, I don't know what happened, but I do really have  ALOT of work! Not the usual lot, but much more than that....

We have also been on an adventure yesterday, M and I....we went to Recas, to Andrea's (my work colleague ) bf's home to see a 3 days old calf!!!!
the only picture I could snap was this:

It was preety dark in the stable, and we didn't want to disturb the mother very much...but if you watch closely you can see 2 pairs of small legs...:D. It's a girl and she's a beauty! Her mother was so adorable, she let me rub her forehead, she let me touch her beautiful baby without showing signs of nervousness, but that only after I made her aquaintance, to show her I have come with good, pozitive thaughts, just to admire them both!

That was such a thrilling experience! It is the first time ever I am touching a working horse; I mean Stela is a horse used to pull a carriage, not be petted by children; and I went directly to her, streched my hand so that she could smell me, and touched her soft skin on her nose! I trully and completely wouldn't have done that not even 6 months ago! I must say my riding lessons have helped me alot when dealing with my horse fear, with my confidence overall and with me taking my pozitive energy from these wonderful and noble creatures!

 In this respect, I have to add I terribly and deeply miss all the horses at Herneacova, which I havent's seen in a few weeks...I might take a quick spin on this weekend...

back on track...

Time flies quickly by us...the High Voltage biker fest came and went, we barely escaped from Germany before the flood , but finally we got home...wet, tired but happy. The party was a blast, during the day we got to visit a small part of Nurenberg, but an iconic one: the Hall 600- where the Nuremberg Trials took place. I still have the tickets to proove it!

There's also an interesting little museum, with images, recordings, history in general of the Nazi period, and especially the Nuremberg Trials.
As for the rest of our visit there, We had a great time talking to our friends, and they promised to visit right back in August! We can't wait!
And now, for the most recent part of events in my life, my little niece Flavia had an accident while playing, but thank God, she is ok. I have to say that I am sorry and was trully frightened because of this, but as we found out that she is ok, I was glad that my sister, little Flavia, my older niece Teodora and my brother in law were coming to visit.
This way, they were all back in our small apartment on Sunday morning, Tunde helped us prepare lunch and she was trully efficient, otherwise I would have transformed it into dinner....:D.
After lunch we decided to go see some horses....and since Herneacova would close at 6 pm, we decided to try our luck at the manege here in Timisoara...and we got lucky, as we got to see Lizette, remember her- the first horse I ever rode??

 ...the girl riding her was so nice and let us watch her for a few...and even showed Liz off..sshe learned how to walk backwards!!! talk about surprise there!!!

 the atmosphere there was so relaxed on that sunny afternoon...I was bewitched! the light was also great!

Of course my sister and nieces didn't get my enthusiasm for Liz walking back...but I was extatic!

then we got out, so as to let the nice girl do her exercises, and there was another surprise waiting for us:

I know this is not a very flattering photo of this mare, but in reality she is trully beautiful! and the guy was so nice as to explain to us all about her...and about riding in Timisoara as it happens....
Of course we all gathered around the poor girl, my girls were a bit shy at the beginning, but after they saw me scratch dear Lara, and her closing her eyes in delight, they got braver....

After such a feast we just couldn't stop and go home, and M came with the ideea of going to the...

...and I have to say I was so happy we went...and my girls too...

....and I think the guys were too...

....and as I was the photographer..I am in none of the pictures...

...and that's ok...since I got to see so many beautiful sites...

...that almost made me forget we were in a zoo, and not in a simple park, overcrowded with animals!
         I know for shure the girls had a blast, as they couldn't stop talking about what they saw when we got home, but I am sure the "adults" had a preety good time too... I for one... am trully confused about who was more enthusiastic about the goats....the girls:
